Hilarious! I'm an avid Book Reader and believe me when I say, in a good way, there is no other novel on the market with this much Original Flavor. By the time I got to page 4 I forgot that i was reading a book, I felt like I was right there in the chapter participating in the activities I know so well. Dubie the main character, what can I say? This fool is crazy! He finds laughter in the worst situations. He will break "The Freak" out on you in a minute hahahahahhaha that's my favorite part hahahahaha (that's an old dance for those that don't know). I can't believe this unsung character has finally been brought to light. I highly recommend you get your head right for this one and enjoy the experience. The writers punch lines come in clever, slick, and quite often you will catch yourself saying, "I know he didn't just say that?" This Writer has styles. He flows from the Soul. Legend will stray from what he learned in English Class on purpose and put his flavor on it instead with the intent to make us feel good. And he does a great job with this one. He's definitely not afraid to try new things. What I found interesting, Its the same exact time period as his previous Gangster Book "Young Loc's on the Westside" but the main character Dubie the Hustla has a totally different approach to obtaining his money. Its not even the same story. Even though the elements are there because of the environment This is not another Dope Boy Story, thank god. This ish is funny as hell. Young Locs was my ish and not taking anything away from that one But I LOVE Everyday Hustlin'. I love Dubie.. If you want to google the author its best to type in soul brother legendary to get his full history. He seems like a cool dude. He's about to break the bank with this one. Everybody at my job just ordered a copy, you owe me man! J/k You deserve all the success for this one Please get it so we can blog about this crazy ass book. Put one in the Air and let it take you there!
This book took me back to junior high and high school when hip hop was still fun!!!!
